Christmas 2008

We had a very good Christmas and the girls loved ripping open the paper. Of course the boxes and paper were the best part! Visiting with family is always so nice. So here is a few pictures from our Christmas.

On Saturday, December 20th, we had our McClaren Family Christmas, and I even coordinated to have a photographer come to do a family picture. Unfortunately, Grandpa Rex and Grandma Martha were not feeling well (and not wanting to get the girls or us sick) they decided to stay home. So we got a group picture and our family picture done along with some pictures of all the brothers together. It was very interesting getting 5 adults and 2 kiddos all looking at the same time. Hopefully he got some good pictures! While the photographer was setting up we were all trying to think when the last family picture was taken. If weddings didn't count, it has been a while, even to have a picture of all the boys together.
Here's Sarah at dinner after the photo session. She was really tired.

Rachel during dinner after the photo session. Already asleep.

Monday, we headed up to Tyler to visit my family.
On Tuesday, my mom & dad hosted the Herrington Family Christmas. 11 Adults and 3 kiddos under 2. Grandma Craddock even came! It always a lot of fun finding out who got your name in the gift exchange. Some very imaginative and unusual gifts! The girls got a Laugh & Learn Chair that they LOVE! Thanks Bettye & Van.

The great clothing caper!

I put the girls in the beds on Christmas night and came back a little while later to find this.
Both girls totally asleep, but somehow Sarah stretched enough to reach over and pull their suitcase toward her bed. She pulled out the majority of the contents and passed some of them to Rachel. Jeans, shirts, PJs, socks, bibs, etc. Sarah had a pile of the clothes in her bed using them as a pillow. Luckily I was able to get all the excess clothes out without waking either girl up.
We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!
