Tea Party

Last night we went to the Tea Party over at Creekside Park.
There was an estimated 6,000 people in attendance which I think was WAY more than they expected/planned for. Traffic was gridlocked in the area and parking was a joke. I'm sure the grounds crews will be trying to put the medians back to their normal pristine condition for a while. (That be a Stimulus wouldn't it???) We arrived 2 hours after it started and there were still a lot of people streaming in. The weather was great and it was nice to see people wanting to take an active role in our country's future. The other interesting item is that I didn't see a whole lot of people that I know (from being involved in politics for years). I'm sure they were there too, but with so many people there I just didn't run into them. These were all new faces. Yeah!
Thanks Mike, Jackie, Tyler & Mary for saving us a seat and joining us for dinner afterwards. I always forget about that restaurant.
