Hooray!
We now have cable and internet back!
Our electricity was restored last Monday (Sept 29th), so the girls and I packed up our stuff in Tyler and headed back down the next day (just to make sure it wasn't a fluke). We had electricity, but no cable or internet, so I called the cable company only to hear "We have a report of an outage in your area." They had no idea when it would be back on. So I made a trip to Radio Shack and purchased a tv antenna (bunny ears) so that we would be able to get a couple of channels. TWO channels: CBS & ABC, (not counting PBS). So I have been suffering with network news (Non FoxNews) and listening to the radio more. This morning I got a call from the cable company (after a lot of phone calls to them yesterday) that they would be sending out someone to my house sometime before 5pm. So I was hanging around the house all day, afraid I would miss the repairman if I went anywhere. 5pm came and went with no repairman. I was ready to call them in the morning and start looking for a new provider. About 8pm I walked past the computer and noticed that the red light (meaning no internet) was suddenly green. Yea! It was red everytime I walked down the hall earlier.
Really I missed my email/internet the most. Now I must deal with the 100+ emails in the inbox that came in the last week...
I'll post some new pictures soon.
